God is always seeking, but we do not always choose to be found...

I prayed the other day for the ability to truly and faithfully love all of God the Father's people and creation as much as He loves them and it. For a reason.I attend Mass daily,as is my custom, and am always impressed with compassion( at other times coupled with disbelief at their lack of peace) for the distress and rigidity I see on the faces and for the monotone I hear in the voices of many of the congregation, during the hour or so I am amongst them, praying .Being with them. And it concerns me. For after consuming the Eucharist it is apparent that Peace has not touched many of their hearts. No Peace comes over their being. And if you would ask them by chance ,out of concern ,many of the faithful would indicate this to be true. For when the Mass is over each scuttles his own way still in distress.Downtrodden.I know many are on their lunch break .And it is commendable that they show up . Many do ,faithfully, everyday. Faith. Pistis Sophia. An action of faith.
"Amen" is an affirmation of truth. "So be it".As in the prayer, " Lord have mercy".Bring us to Everlasting peace and Eternal Life (quality is indicated, not duration), Father we ask this in the name of your Son , Lord Jesus Christ(Greek;King),Amen.
Amen means "So be it." To make so. To bring forth. To make true."Your Kingdom come ,Thy will be done."Amen.
But , why no Peace?"My peace I leave you , my peace I give you." Amen!
"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
from the book "Love is Stronger than Death"
"Elihu says to Job:Why do you rail at Him for not replying to you ,word for word.God speaks first in one way then in another, but no one notices.
We do not hear God when we are busy speaking.God shows up only when we shut up.Job's best words are his last,"The words of Job are ended."Then God appears. He says,"Be still and know that I am God." And we reply:"No ,God, You be still and know that I am me!"
Why do we do this? Because we don't want to be found most of the time. That is why the object-God is so much more comfortable than the subject-God;that is why God's search for man upsets us ,as man's search does not:."
From the book "Miracles",CS Lewis
CS Lewis on Pantheism from his book "Miracles".
Men are reluctant to pass over from the notion of an abstract and negative deity to the living God. I do not wonder. Here lies the deepest tap-root of Pantheism and of the objection to traditional imagery. It was hated not, at bottom, because it pictured Him as a man but because it pictured Him as king, or even as warrior. The Pantheist's God does nothing, demands nothing. He is there if you wish for Him, like a book on a shelf. He will not pursue you. There is no danger that at any time heaven and earth should flee away at His glance. If He were the truth, then we could really say that all the Christian images-of kingship were a historical accident of which our religion ought to be cleansed. It is with a shock that we discover them to be indispensable. You have had a shock like that before, in connection with smaller matters --when the line pulls at your hand, when something breathes beside you in the darkness. So here; the shock comes at the precise moment when the thrill of life is communicated to us along the clue we have been following. It is always shocking to meet life where we thought we were alone.
"Look out! " we cry, "it's alive."
And therefore this is the very point at which so many draw back--I would have done so myself if I could--and proceed no further with Christianity. An "impersonal God" -well and good.
A subjective God of beauty, truth and goodness, inside our own heads --better still.A formless life-force surging through us, a vast power which we can tap --best of all.
But God Himself, alive, pulling at the other end of the cord, perhaps approaching at an infinite speed, the hunter, king, husband-that is quite another matter.
There comes a moment when the children who have been playing at burglars hush suddenly: was that a real footstep in the hall?
There comes a moment when people who have been dabbling in religion ("Man's search for God"!) suddenly draw back. Supposing we really found Him? We never meant it to come to that!Worse still, supposing He had found us?So it is a sort of Rubicon. One goes across;or not.But if one does, there is no manner of security against miracles. One may be in for anything."
I have crossed that Rubicon. Watch the Miracle of your heart.Healthy mind and body. Peace for all Creation, seen and unseen. Now God allows me to love you as fully as he does...even when you can't reciprocate for fear or sickness. For he listens to my prayers. And yours. Realize the Peace.Receive the humanity of Christ. This is the Body( His humanity) that He gave up for you so that those that ate of his flesh would be as human as He.Receive the divinity of Christ. This was the blood that was shed for all so that sins would be forgiven so that death would be overcome and His Breath of Life entered your being...making you complete in the direct image of God the Father.

"If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him."

Philip said to him, "Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us."
Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works.
Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves.
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father.
And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.
"If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always,
the Spirit of truth, which the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows it. But you know it, because it remains with you, and will be in you.
I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. "
He is here.

Addendum:
Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Country
THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!
'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!'
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,' and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God.'
